What truly defines Dr. Heggade’s contribution is his determined and consistent service to the nation; in recognition of which he has been awarded the second highest civilian award of the country, Padma Vibhushana by the President of India.

What is Rathnamanasa?

A counterpart of the famous Siddhavana Gurukula at Ujire, Rathnamanasa is a Gurukula Education system based residential schooling where school-going students are provided free accommodation. Alongside, Rathnamanasa also trains its resident students with life skills ranging from agriculture, healthcare and spirituality.

What do students experience and learn at Rathnamanasa?

Yoga and spirituality (through prayer and meditation) that is a mandatory part of the everyday schedule
They are introduced to financial matters and their handling at an early age
Agricultural activities include gardening, growing fruits and vegetables, harvesting, seasonal yields, dairy farming and more.
Arts and origami through workshops
Plenty of time and exposure to sports and games
Life skills such as cleanliness, organizing a day schedule and self discipline.
Students are introduced to NCC, NSS and relevant national service organizations and encouraged to be a part of them.
All students are familiarized with basic statutory entities such as banks, post offices, Panchayat offices and so on.
